KANSAS CITY, MO—Avant appointed 15 new missionaries to serve on church planting teams and in church support ministries around the globe.

The appointees were commissioned at the end of Avant’s two week Candidate Orientation Program (COP) where they took a more in-depth look at cross-cultural ministry, leadership development, team building and support raising.

“There are no two COP classes alike. This class had more members who had studied the Bible in a Spanish-speaking setting than most,” said David Hansen, vice president of global partnerships, noting that several of these missionaries will be joining a team to Montevideo, Uruguay. “This COP class also completed a Joint Venture church-based team to Tanzania with Highlands Community Church and saw the beginning of a team forming to Indonesia. All fifteen new missionaries will make a great impact for the kingdom. We’re excited to see them arrive on the field.”

Please pray for the new missionaries as they develop their support teams and prepare for cross-cultural life on the field.
