Mexico: Leadership Development

Project #71960
Church Planting Latin America Mexico

Millions of people live in rural areas of Mexico where there is no church to share with them the truth of Jesus Christ.  Their languages are predominately oral, and some are on the verge of extinction. These indigenous Mexican people need to hear the good news of Jesus in their own language, and they need followers of Christ to come alongside them and disciple them.

Because they struggle with distrust of foreigners, most indigenous Mexicans can only be reached effectively by other Mexicans who are a part of their culture and know their languages. Many Mexican church leaders are requesting help to equip their people and prepare them to take the Gospel to these rural communities and establish churches.

To meet these frequent requests, Avant is instituting an initiative to develop capable, national leadership to plant churches in unreached areas. Through this project we will provide training and resource materials for nationals and walk alongside them as they seek to reach their own people with the gospel and plant churches where there is no church.
