W. Africa CuriosiTEA Garden

Project #71946
Africa Church Planting Senegal

Dakar, Senegal, is a thriving seacoast city that draws young professionals and students for business and education. They arrive from across the continent of Africa. Residing in this country that is 90% Muslim, most have not heard the truth of Jesus Christ.

These young professionals and students are in a phase of life where they are open to discussing life purpose, deep issues, and even questions of faith. In this busy city, there aren’t many places where these deep conversations can take place.

Avant is renovating a property into a tea garden where people can spend time in a relaxed setting that will invite relationship building and purposeful conversations of life and faith. Those frequenting the garden, called CuriosiTEA, can get coffee or tea and a light snack while enjoying conversation. The tea garden has private places and settings for small groups. There are also areas for larger groups where meetings, trainings and exercise classes can be held.

We are excited to be finishing the final details at the tea garden and we praise God that CuriosiTEA opened this Spring! The remaining funds will help us complete all the legal documentation along with covering supplies to run a fully functioning cafe style kitchen. While we have the basic machines to run the café, larger commercial equipment will be needed for longevity.

Your support will help us cross the finish line and be fully equipped to serve and reach the people of Dakar. We appreciate your partnership to make CuriosiTEA an inviting place where people can discover Jesus Christ.
