Adam and Selina Matzke

Serving the Lord in Senegal 

Adam and Selina Matzke joined Avant Ministries in the summer of 2020. Prior to this, Adam spent nine years working in finance. Selina is a nurse by training but spent her last couple of years as a stay-at-home mom before joining Avant. After spending a year in language school in Albertville, France, the Matzke’s traded the mountains for the beach, arriving in Dakar, Senegal in December 2022.

Adam teaches at an English Center which targets the large population of university students and young professionals studying and working in Dakar. Having been called into a relationship with God as a college student, Adam is excited to be working with this demographic of students. Selina continues to be a stay-at-home mom, seeking to exercise her gifting of hospitality while engaging with other moms. They are both very excited about the opportunities for ministry that come with living in a capital city and look forward to discovering how else God might call them to proclaim the Gospel in Dakar.

Adam and Selina have three kids: Mia, Desmond and Evie.
