Nathan & Emily Brown
Serving as Church Planters in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Nathan and Emily serve as church planters in Belfast, Northern Ireland and moved to the island in the summer of 2020.
West Belfast continues to feel the ramifications of The Troubles, a civil war which lasted three decades, and a post-Brexit society. Northern Ireland has consistently held the highest percentage of people with PTSD, alcohol abuse, and suicide in the United Kingdom. Additionally, the rate of mental health problems are over four times higher than the rest of the United Kingdom. Paramilitary activity remains prevalent throughout Northern Ireland.
Their prayer is to establish a church in West Belfast, a Nationalist area which has not had a Gospel witness in several generations, and to see the full-flourishing of a community that has experienced so much trauma, obstacles, and difficulty.
Prior to moving to Belfast, Nathan served as elder of a church plant in New Orleans, Louisiana. Nathan and Emily have two boys: Gideon (age 12) and Titus (age 9) and their dog, Maisy.
