Arabic Christian Literature App

For many Arabic believers, simply possessing a Bible or other Christian literature can pose a serious risk. A physical book can be seen or found among a person's belongings, potentially exposing them as someone seeking or following Christ.

Access to Christian literature is also heavily restricted throughout the Middle East. In many countries, importing or distributing Christian books is either illegal or subject to strict oversight.

Yet the Bible and discipleship resources are essential to the spiritual growth and vitality of the church.

To help overcome these challenges, Avant is partnering with a ministry on the ground to develop an Arabic-language e-reader app. This free resource provides access to Christian literature in Arabic through a format designed to address many of the security, logistical, and regulatory challenges. For added security, books are available only within the app and cannot be downloaded, reducing the risk of Christian materials being discovered.

The app includes:

• A “Contact Us” feature for direct engagement and support
• A church map to help users find recommended churches near them
• Tools for tracking reading progress, highlighting text, and social sharing

Praise the Lord, the app has officially launched and already offers 250 resources, with many more to come. Our goal is to expand the library to 800 books, including many titles that will be available in Arabic for the very first time. We pray this growing collection will enrich the Arabic Christian library and provide valuable biblical resources for believers and seekers alike.
