Echo Ranch: Grocery Truck

For 60 years, Echo Ranch Bible Camp in Juneau, Alaska, has been dedicated to echoing God’s glory. Situated in a spiritually dark area of Alaska, Echo Ranch serves as a beacon of hope and light within the community. Each year, more than 2,000 campers and retreat visitors experience the beauty of God’s creation and leave with a deeper understanding of the love and grace of Jesus.

In the summer, Echo Ranch provides unforgettable experiences for its campers. Popular activities include horseback riding, hiking, climbing, swimming, and games. More importantly, campers hear the good news of the gospel, often for the first time. Through devotions, chapel, and worship, they learn about Jesus and have counselors to guide them in understanding God’s love and His desire for a personal relationship with them. 

Echo Ranch collaborates with churches across Alaska to equip them with resources that enhance their ability to minister effectively in their communities. These partnerships enable Echo Ranch to recommend strong churches to campers who decide to place their faith in Jesus, providing them with fellowship and opportunities to support their spiritual growth and service after leaving camp.

The grocery delivery truck used by the camp is starting to show signs of aging, and it is crucial for this vehicle to remain reliable, as all of the ministry’s groceries are transported over 30 miles to the camp. The ministry plans to purchase a used heavy-duty truck that can accommodate the refrigerator unit needed for cooling and preserving groceries from the point of purchase until they reach the camp.

Feeding our guests and staff is a significant responsibility, and dependable food deliveries are essential to this ministry. Avant is seeking to raise $25,000 to acquire a vehicle that will meet this need.
