Mexico: Focused Discipleship

Project #72018
Church Planting Latin America Mexico

Across rural Mexico, many people identify as Catholic by tradition, yet most have never heard or clearly understood the gospel—the message of salvation through Christ alone. Turning away from traditional religious practices often comes at a high personal cost, and those who choose to follow Christ frequently face opposition from family, economic hardship, and social pressure.

We believe that deep, personal discipleship is essential to lasting spiritual transformation and to the strengthening of the Church. Yet many pastors and church leaders in rural Mexico have had little access to training, practical resources, or clear pathways for discipling others effectively.

The Mexico Focused Discipleship Project seeks to address this need by equipping leaders to disciple intentionally and faithfully. Through regional training events, along with ongoing follow-up and support, pastors and leaders will learn how to disciple new believers, mentor future leaders, and multiply discipleship groups within their churches.

For many of these leaders, even traveling to a training event represents significant sacrifice. Living on limited daily income, they often cannot afford opportunities like this. While participants contribute what they can, your support helps offset the cost of transportation, lodging, meals, and training materials, so leaders can participate who otherwise could not.

In the short term, the project will see dozens of leaders equipped to disciple with confidence, churches strengthened through intentional small groups, and new believers supported as they grow in their faith.

In the long term, we envision a multiplying network of trained discipleship leaders, a culture where believers consistently live out their faith, and enduring transformation in individuals, families, and churches.

When you give to this project, you are investing in leaders who will invest in others, so that “one generation shall commend [God’s] works to another and shall declare [His] mighty acts” (Psalm 145:4, NIV).
