Poland: Lake EPIC

Only 0.2% of Poland’s population is Evangelical Christian, and there are only about 700 churches in the entire country of 37.6 million people. The church in Poland is growing, and people are increasingly hungry and thirsty to know Jesus, but there is still much work to be done to train and equip believers and churches to multiply and meet this growing hunger with the Good News of Christ. 

It's difficult for pastors and churches in Poland to work together because they lack a suitable meeting space. Most churches rent small spaces to meet that are not fit for large gatherings.

That is why Avant has partnered with Evangelical Poland, an exciting initiative and network of churches across Poland, to help establish Lake EPIC as a multipurpose ministry and retreat center designed to serve churches from across the country. Located on a beautiful lakeside property, Lake EPIC has lodging, meeting spaces, and outdoor areas that allow churches to host camps, leadership training, and times of spiritual renewal.

God is already using this place in powerful ways. In its first year, Lake EPIC hosted 28 groups. The center is already fully booked for summer 2026, evidence of both the need for this kind of space and the opportunity before us for greater impact.

Thanks to the generosity of partners like you, along with Evangelical Poland churches and partners, the property has already been paid for. Avant’s goal is to raise an additional $140,000 to complete much-needed renovations, including the cabins, auditorium, kitchen, cafeteria, and areas for recreation and fellowship.
