W. Asia: Ministry Mobilization
In the heart of one of the world’s most populous unreached nations, a small church has taken root. Within this city of over seven million—where following Christ is seen as scandalous—this Avant church plant of 30–35 believers just celebrated its 10th anniversary. It’s a powerful testimony of God’s grace shining in even the darkest places.
As we look to the future of this church in West Asia, one thing is clear: we need leaders from within to carry the gospel forward faithfully and courageously.
Until now, our Avant members have served the church full-time—preaching, evangelizing, discipling, and guiding the congregation. We believe the next season of growth depends on empowering national leaders to shepherd the church and expand its gospel witness.
God has already begun answering that prayer. Three members of the church have sensed a clear call to full-time ministry. Two have already started serving—one as a deacon and the other as a ministry assistant. The third, a young man with evident gifting and character, is preparing for ministry leadership. He’ll attend Bible school in Greece for two years, then return to serve in pastoral ministry.
To support this important step in the life of this church, we’ve launched a project that will mobilize these three leaders into full-time ministry. The funds will provide:
• Four years of living and ministry expenses for the deacon and ministry assistant
• Four years of living, educational, and ministry expenses for the pastor in training, including two years in Bible school and two years in pastoral ministry
This support will launch these leaders while giving the church time to grow toward local sustainability.
