The Need and the Opportunity

In a remote and mountainous region of West Asia, known for some of the most beautiful hiking trails in the world, lives a people group with limited access to the gospel. There are only a few known believers from this group who attend churches in the larger cities, but in this northern, remote region of the country, there are no Bible-teaching churches or gospel resources among them.

Along one famous trail that attracts tourists from all over the world, God has opened an opportunity for Avant to purchase a guesthouse and adjoining shop and café. The current owners are believers who have run the guesthouse as a ministry for many years, earning a good standing in the community and faithfully sharing the gospel with the local people and hikers who pass through.

The couple is ready to pass the torch to the next gospel workers, and our team is ready to take on the business and continue being a light in this region. Avant is working to build a team to maintain the property, and run the guesthouse, shop, and café. This team will engage both tourists and the surrounding unreached people groups with the goal of planting a healthy, reproducing church.

A Sustainable Ministry and Lasting Impact

Our workers plan to run the guesthouse as a self-sustaining business that will serve the surrounding community through the store and café, as well as by providing jobs. The guesthouse will also be a place for like-minded organizations to host retreats, training sessions, and outreach efforts within the community.

This is a unique opportunity God has opened for our workers to be witnesses of Christ in this region so that “those who have never been told of him will see, and those who have never heard will understand” (Romans 15:21).
