Latin America: Missionary Conference

Project #72008
Latin America

Planting healthy, reproducing churches cross-culturally is an enormous task. It requires the mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health of our missionaries. One of Avant’s core values is to care for our missionaries as they expend themselves for the sake of the gospel, and one of the ways we care for our missionaries is by hosting a regional conference for them every other year.

These conferences are a place where missionaries come together to be encouraged and refreshed, to have times of prayer and fellowship, and to be poured into by our staff. This is a time when they are able to worship in their heart language and receive soul care and spiritual nourishment. Time such as this is vital for our missionaries’ longevity on the field.

This coming summer of 2024, the conference for our missionaries in Latin America will be held in Panama. The venue is a wonderful place for a retreat, located in a semi-isolated jungle setting outside the city. However, reliable and safe transportation options to this venue are limited. In order to make this conference more accessible for our missionaries, and to ensure their safe and timely arrival, we are seeking to raise funds to cover the cost of transportation between the airport and the conference center.

We plan to raise $15,000 to cover the cost of contracting a dependable and secure transportation service for our missionaries from the airport to the conference center and back. Would you join us and consider investing in the well-being of our missionaries?
